Background

L’Avenue is one of Montréal’s largest new condo developments and will be the tallest residential building in the city. With activity increasing as a countdown to the groundbreaking approaching there was concern that the pre-launch website did not live up to the standards. The decision was made to get a new site up in time for a large media blitz leading up to the kickoff of presales.

Strategy

Leveraging the Visual Assets

The building is a standout architecturally and Broccolini, the developer, had beautiful renderings to work with. We chose a full screen Image based approach that would tell the story through visuals and an innovative slider design that is scaled according to the browser’s window size. The end result was a high impact, Magazine style approach that immersed viewers in a sensual experience.

Building for Bilingual

The site features two instances, one in English and one in French which are managed through a single CMS. Users can toggle between the two using the main navigation. Form submissions were also segregated based on language.

Speed to Launch

Given the short timeline, we clarified all site functions and put together wireframes to validate our assumptions before undertaking any final visual design. The final site came together in a matter of weeks and was launched in time to capitalize on significant press coverage. The site generated numerous registration forms that led to strong initial sales.
